Quite often I try to paint the same subject twice. What I find is that the second one tends to go much more quickly, largely because I've figured out most of the challenges on the first one. So, last week's painting took about an hour (aside from the initial composition and drawing) and this one took about 20 minutes.
On a clear, sunny afternoon I looked south, and Paul (www.paulkratter.com) looked to the north.
Aside from spending some great time with our boys we took long hikes, saw a bobcat, ate well and laughed a lot. That's what sums up a perfect weekend for me.
