This is the last of my 'A Watercolor a Week' project. It's been so helpful to stick to this goal over the past year. Some of the things that really aided me in moving forward were these:
• Encouragement from friends. It's really amazing how a thumbs-up motivates me to push through the tougher challenges to the next week.
• I took two watercolor workshops which forced me to try techniques that I wouldn't have done on my own. Big thanks to Michael Reardon and Thomas Schaller. http://www.mreardon.com/, http://thomasschaller.com/
• Paul Kratter would offer up suggestions but only when I asked, and his comments were always straightforward. I didn't always opt to take his advice, but his encouragement was huge. Turns out he's a nice guy.
While it takes courage to lay yourself out on a blog or website I really encourage it. It forces you to stick to your goal and just one nice comment can really make a difference in moving forward to the next week.
