Our first 4 days were spent at the Mashatu Reserve in easternmost Botswana. Winters there are cool: about 40ยบ at night, and we're in open-air tents. The tradeoff is that there are no bugs in the wintertime.

I've started doing a collection of small paintings with both the real object and my watercolor. It's quick and dirty work, but always fun to bang out.
